  2. A Fresh New Look – Our New Logo

Comments Off on A Fresh New Look – Our New Logo

In late 2022, Queensland Baptists embarked on a process of developing a new logo. A new look and a new logo that would be a fresh expression of our movement and help us all engage the emerging generations in our churches. A big thank you to all of you who have been involved in helping us get clarity along the way.

Whilst our past logos have served us well to communicate who we are and to share our vision, it’s time for a fresh look and a fresh expression. An expression that continues to communicate our vision and our heart to reach the people of Queensland for Jesus – together! We desire to be clear that Queensland Baptists is a movement devoted to sharing the good news of Jesus. A movement that is passionate about sharing the message of the gospel, sharing the message of the cross, and sharing the message of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the new life that He gives us.

It is our pleasure to introduce to you our new logo.

For a full explanation of the elements that make up our new logo, please watch the above reveal video.

We are really excited for this new and fresh expression for our movement, and we look forward to seeing it roll out in the coming months. For all enquiries relating to the new logo, please contact us.

  3. Welcome to QB’s New Director of Local Mission

Comments Off on Welcome to QB’s New Director of Local Mission

It is with great pleasure that we announce that at the Special Assembly on Monday 7th August, Stephen Meharg was appointed as the Director of Local Mission (Church Planting and Evangelism). Steve is a born and bred Queenslander.  He has previously served as Associate Pastor and then Lead Pastor at South Pine Community Church. He and his wife Kristy, along with their three children have spent the past seven years in pastoral ministry at ONE&All Church in San Dimas, California, where he led a team developing their multi-site strategy and planting campuses. Steve has a passion to see God work through a variety of church models to reach many different people with the Gospel, and believes that the next season of successful mission will be multi-modal.

Steve has a strong sense of calling to the Director of Local Mission role here at QB and knows that God has been preparing and equipping him and his family over many years for this opportunity.  His God-given gifts in faith, strategic leadership skills and desire to develop people will help spark growth in evangelism across our state through the QB movement.

Please join us in prayer for Steve and his family as they take on this significant role in our movement.
