Guidelines for Hearing the Voices of Children

Your Church must have clear guidelines for hearing and responding to the voices of Children (e.g., their ideas, needs, feedback and any concerns).

These Guidelines are essential for creating trusted and welcoming spaces where Children feel safe, valued and included. Your Church should support all Children to feel safe and included by having easily accessible, child-friendly and culturally safe resources. These resources should encourage them to share feedback and participate in decision-making that affects them.

This Implementation Kit provides a set of guidelines that can be used by churches. Churches are welcome to adapt these as required to suit local needs and adopt them as their own guidelines. These Guidelines align with Child Safe Standard 2 – Voice of Children under the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 (Qld).
