Your Church must have clear and practical guidelines for upholding equity and respecting the diversity of Children. These Guidelines actively ensure that the unique and diverse needs of all Children are recognised, valued and reflected across the Church’s policies, programs and practices.
Your Church should champion attitudes and behaviours that foster inclusive environments for all Children. This approach helps create accessible, culturally safe and trauma-informed spaces where every Child is treated with dignity and respect. It ensures Children have equal opportunity to belong and participate in Children’s ministries.
This Implementation Kit provides a set of guidelines that can be used by churches. Churches are welcome to adapt these as required to suit local
needs and adopt them as their own guidelines. These Guidelines align with Child Safe Standard 4 – Equity and Diversity under the Child Safe
Organisations Act 2024 (Qld).
