    Gateway Baptist Church is a growing multi-campus church, with campuses across South East Queensland. We are looking for a Gateway Care Pastor to join our Gateway Beyond ministry team as we continue to reach out into our local communities.

    Gateway has a rich history of developing Care ministries that provide practical help for people in our community delivered with Jesus’ love through our Gateway Care Centres. As an integral part of the Gateway Beyond (Missions) team, the successful candidate for this position will be a high capacity leader, who has experience and wisdom in both local mission as well as leading, developing and caring for staff and volunteers teams. They will have a passion to see the local church impact the community. They will exhibit the ability to innovate, create vision, communicate, and lead change, as well as have the required pastoral and organizational skills to build a successful ministry.

    The advertised position is full time, including Sunday services, and reports directly to the Gateway Beyond Pastor. Experience in pastoral ministry, and previous experience in working within a local church Care ministry context is preferred. The role will start as soon as practicable.     QB is excited to invited applications for the newly created role of Director of Operations. The Director of Operations will be responsible to lead, oversee and develop all operational aspects of the QB Movement including the Charter Groups, Financial Operations and Management Operations. The employment status (FTE) for this role is negotiable.  

    The Director of Operations responsibilities will include:  

    • fulfilling the corporate governance role as Secretary of The Baptist Union of Queensland Letters Patent entity and the QB Board.  
    • overseeing effective and efficient administrative and business operation and development of QB in cooperation with other directors.  
    • providing strategic direction, enhancement and future development for QB Movement, identifying strategic opportunities and recognizing significant risks and issues.  
    • leading the development and monitoring of the business plan, identifying required resources and aligning with the QB Board’s risk framework.  
    • overseeing management of all operational, property and administrative functions of QB to achieve recommended outcomes and performance standards.  
    • undertaking necessary corporate governance functions, ensuring legal and statutory obligations are fulfilled and corporate governance records maintained.  
    • ensuring all QB activities meet relevant legislative, regulatory, and community standards.  
    • ensuring policy formulation responds to the specific needs of QB and reflects sound Christian stewardship.  
    • overseeing development of employee processes and procedures in accordance with QB Board Policy and ensuring compliance measures are maintained.  
    • ensuring QB operates within all WH&S requirements and guidelines according to QB Board Policy. participating in QB Services team activities as required by the Director of the QB Movement.  

    The Director of Operations role reports to the Director of the QB Movement and is accountable to the QB Board with an annual review. The direct reports for this role include the Director of Financial Services, the Head of QB Charter Groups Baplink, QCCC, and Christian Education Services as well as the Operations Manager.

    Queensland Baptists are looking for a Field Ministry Support Officer to provide high level support across the various services offered to churches by QB Church Services. This role will be responsible for assisting with providing high level, accurate, timely and engaging communications material to support the internal and external communication objectives of Queensland Baptists and its ministries.

    The role will encompass a wide variety of tasks associated with social media platforms, facilitating events, and will have an overall focus on telling our story and advocating this to our Movement.

    This is a 6-month contract (with potential for extension). The role is part-time (0.5 FTE) and is base onsite at Gaythorne. Occasional ability to support out of hours events will be required.

    Tenthill Baptist is a small country church with over 140 years of gospel ministry to the local community. We are a warm, lively, & theologically conservative bunch. We are seeking a Part Time Associate Pastor (3.5-4 days) to work alongside our Solo Pastor Aaron Needer. Aaron is married to Rebekah & has been with Tenthill since 2020. In January 2023 he became our Interim Pastor, & then Senior Pastor in July 2023. He is gifted in planning, strategy, preaching, & discipleship. We are looking for someone to compliment him, & to share the ministry load by focusing on ministry to young people. We see our young people as the future of the church, so our ministries to young people, & their families are a huge priority for us. We have a small but vibrant youth group, a solid Sunday children’s ministry (FOCUS), & we also have connections to local schools. Being regional our young adults come & go, but we have had groups for them as well. We definitely won’t overload the person, but we would love for them to play an active role in our music ministry. The nature of a country church means that we are seeking a bit of an allrounder. The advantage of this is that they will build up experience in a range of different ministries.
