    Whitsunday Baptist Church is a contemporary church and has a long and rich history in the region and is currently poised for significant growth & development, influencing the area. Setting a personal example of a commitment to prayer and missions impacting the community.

    In this defining moment, Whitsunday Baptist Church is looking for a strong leader to shepherd its growing congregation into the next stage of our journey with God. As such, we are seeking a Senior Pastor to join our church community and provide spiritual leadership for the members of Whitsunday Baptist Church and the community at large. Key elements of the position are as follows:

    • Teaching and preaching the Bible.
    • Equipping church members through an organized discipleship program.
    • Providing godly counsel and encouragement through pastoral care.
    • Setting a personal example of a commitment to prayer and missions impacting the community.

    Accreditation or working toward accreditation with Queensland Baptists is a requirement of the position.

  3. Interim Pastor

    The current pastor of Mount Isa Baptist Church will be finalising his five year call in the coming months.

    Mount Isa Baptist Church is seeking to employ an interim pastor who will preach, provide pastoral counseling, care and pray for and with the church, support to ministry leaders, and provide guidance to the pastoral search committee.

    The interim’s hours and length of duration are negotiable (although full-time would be preferable). Remuneration will be according to the QB Ministerial Remuneration Guidelines. Mount Isa is a city in Outback Northwest Queensland, with a population of approximately 18000 people. The city is the central hub for the region’s mining industry and health services. Mount Isa Baptist Church has had an emphasis on Biblical teaching, children’s ministries and being a healthy local church to the transient population.

    The primary tasks of the interim pastor will be to:

    • Preach and teach the word of God;
    • Provide pastoral care to the congregation;
    • Provide support to ministry leaders;
    • Pray for and with the congregation;
    • Involvement in leaders meetings;
    • Support the pastoral search committee.

  5. Senior/ Solo Pastor

    Charters Towers Baptist Church is seeking to call a senior/solo pastor for a 3 days per week.  The Senior Pastor will provide spiritual and pastoral leadership to the congregation of the CTBC as well as being involved in and serving our local community as time allows.

    This includes providing spiritual leadership through preaching/teaching, and working with the leadership in equipping the congregation for various works of ministry. A desire to encourage and teach the church in relation to outreach would be advantageous.

    CTBC has been through a transition process and will need guiding into the next God led season of the Church’s life journey. CTBC is a theologically conservative church with very long and interesting history.

    CTBC is a very warm and welcoming church with a small but loving congregation which is a mix of retirees (the larger group), middle aged, and young people.

    Charters Towers is a rural town in the Charters Towers Region, Queensland, Australia. It is 136 km by road south-west from Townsville on the Flinders Highway with a population (as of 2021) 8040.

    Ideally, CTBC is looking for a person with:

    • A strong sense of God’s call to CBTC.
    • An effective biblical preacher (important).
    • Have well developed leadership skills.
    • Be prepared to commit (Lord willing) for the long term.
    • Be prepared to accept a part time role and/or as a worker pastor.
    • Caring and compassionate pastoral man of God with strong desire for prayer.
    • Willing to connect with the local community, initially through the local fraternal.
    • Desire to lead the Church into the next God led season/phase, including outreach.
    • Either currently or willing to be accredited with QB Churches.

    Carinity Education Shalom has an opportunity for a School Chaplain to join the team on a full time – part time basis providing support and pastoral care to students and staff and assisting students in finding solutions for social, emotional and academic problems/barriers. This role required availability from 8:00 am. to 4:06 pm.

    What do I need for the role?

    • Demonstrated experience in chaplaincy, counselling, or other relevant experience, providing pastoral counselling/support services to marginalised adolescent youth and children
    • Skilled in conflict resolution, analytical thinking, collaborative decision-making, and effective time management
    • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
    • Certificate IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care or equivalent, including mandatory units of completion in Mental Health, Making Appropriate Referrals, and ether Providing Pastoral Care or Working with Youth
    • Valid Work with Children Card (Blue Card)
    • Current Driver’s Licence
    • Ability to lead Chapel and Christian Living classes across Primary and Secondary

    • Skilled in conflict resolution, analytical thinking, collaborative decision-making and effective time management
