Comments Off on Pastor (Part/full time – negotiable)

The bustling township of Maleny is in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, approximately 30 klms from Caloundra’s sandy beaches.  The wider population (Maleny/North Maleny/Witta) is circa 6,000 and although we have many ‘tree changers’, we still feel a little more ‘country’ than our neighbours on the coastal strip.

Maleny Baptist Church has a long history in the town, starting more than 100 years ago. The original church building was at the top end of town, with the current church premises built on a new site about 1990. Currently, we have 22 members and usually about 35 attend our Sunday services. Since February 23, we have been blessed by the interim ministry of Ps Lester Kelly and his wife, Deanna.

The church seeks a pastor to live here on the range, who will make strong connections in the community and who will assist the church in its heartfelt desire to reach out with the love of Christ to others. We see need all around us!

    The church seeks someone with:

    • A vital and growing relationship with Jesus
    • A Christlike character with spiritual maturity
    • Strong leadership skills who can both build and lead teams
    • Above all, a strong sense that this is God’s call, to minister in the role of pastor to our church community and beyond.
