    QB is excited to invited applications for the newly created role of Director of Operations. The Director of Operations will be responsible to lead, oversee and develop all operational aspects of the QB Movement including the Charter Groups, Financial Operations and Management Operations. The employment status (FTE) for this role is negotiable.  

    The Director of Operations responsibilities will include:  

    • fulfilling the corporate governance role as Secretary of The Baptist Union of Queensland Letters Patent entity and the QB Board.  
    • overseeing effective and efficient administrative and business operation and development of QB in cooperation with other directors.  
    • providing strategic direction, enhancement and future development for QB Movement, identifying strategic opportunities and recognizing significant risks and issues.  
    • leading the development and monitoring of the business plan, identifying required resources and aligning with the QB Board’s risk framework.  
    • overseeing management of all operational, property and administrative functions of QB to achieve recommended outcomes and performance standards.  
    • undertaking necessary corporate governance functions, ensuring legal and statutory obligations are fulfilled and corporate governance records maintained.  
    • ensuring all QB activities meet relevant legislative, regulatory, and community standards.  
    • ensuring policy formulation responds to the specific needs of QB and reflects sound Christian stewardship.  
    • overseeing development of employee processes and procedures in accordance with QB Board Policy and ensuring compliance measures are maintained.  
    • ensuring QB operates within all WH&S requirements and guidelines according to QB Board Policy. participating in QB Services team activities as required by the Director of the QB Movement.  

    The Director of Operations role reports to the Director of the QB Movement and is accountable to the QB Board with an annual review. The direct reports for this role include the Director of Financial Services, the Head of QB Charter Groups Baplink, QCCC, and Christian Education Services as well as the Operations Manager.

    We are currently seeking a new team member in the Full-time position of Maintenance Leading Hand – Carpentry.

    The successful applicant will be responsible in assisting the Maintenance Supervisor as second -in-charge to exceed guests’ expectations by providing safe, comfortable and well-maintained buildings and facilities. You will perform a broad array of tasks which include project planning, material ordering, workforce planning, applied trade skills and physical labour to produce results above industry standards.
