Rosewood Baptist Church

Nestled in the rural town of Rosewood, Queensland, just an hour’s drive from Brisbane and 19 kilometres from Ipswich, Rosewood Baptist Church stands as a testament to genuine service and the transformative love of Jesus. With a renewed focus on outwardly demonstrating Christ’s love, the church is making a profound impact on its community.

A Story of Faithfulness and Renewal

In 2018, Pastor Phil and his wife began their ministry in a church facing possible closure. However, the congregation believed God still had more for them to do and thus began a journey of community focused outreach. Through this, God has been faithful, and Rosewood Baptist has experienced true revitalisation with people of all ages discovering Jesus.

Supporting the Community Through Collaboration

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rosewood Baptist formed partnerships with local produce growers to distribute surplus food to those in need—a ministry that continues to thrive. Every Wednesday, volunteers gather to prepare hampers, helping struggling families, supporting local schools, and working with chaplaincy programs to address broader community needs. Hannah, the Youth Worker at both Rosewood and Minden Baptist Churches, shared how these efforts transformed the church’s relationship with the community, such that the church is now seen as a supportive neighbour to many within the region.

Partnerships that Empower the Next Generation

Rosewood Baptist has also partnered with Minden Baptist Church to share resources and strengthen its youth ministry. This collaboration has led to significant growth in their outreach to local youth, providing much-needed support and creating lasting positive change in the community.

Rosewood Baptist Church’s unwavering commitment to service, faith, and community is a shining example of how a local church can make a powerful impact. To learn more, check out Rosewood Baptist on Facebook.
