Marriage Celebrants Training

Wedding Rings and BibleOnly Registered Pastors who have completed the Queensland Baptists’ Marriage Celebrant Training Seminar are eligible to apply for a marriage licence.

Pastors who have a marriage licence need to ensure they comply with all legal requirements relating to marriages performed, as heavy penalties can apply for any breaches.  Consequently, all Pastors holding a current marriage celebrants licence are required to undergo professional development (refresher) training at least once in every registration period.

Pastors can register for an upcoming marriage celebrant training course by completing the following form:

  • Marriage Celebrant Training Course Registration

Some useful links for all QB celebrants include:

  • Marriage Resources & Forms
  • Marriage Stationary Order Form
  • Qld Births, Deaths & Marriages Website
  • Online Service Provider Portal for online form submission

If you have any concerns or questions in regard to the legal requirements for performing a marriage, please contact our Director of Pastoral Services, David Elvery.
